ABOUT
THE ARTIST
This
web site focuses on jewelry designs from 2001 to the present day
showing a variety of the most unique hand made pieces created
by Jacqueline Gala in sterling silver with gold accents, semi
prescious stones, and pearls. Inspiration for the jewelry pieces
span from Traditional Native American Jewelry, Classic American
and European Styles to a Zen Inspired, Japanese look transformed
into a contemporary design language.
"The
stones are what help me begin the designs, building patterns using
Sterling Silver in a variety of Plates, Bars and Wires to showcase,
highlight and enhance the particular shape, color and individual
quality of the stones. The high quality in texture techniques
vary for each piece. Again, the stones take on "a little
life" - and the process of interaction with me as the designer,
the materials themselves, and the chosen techniques come together
in a one of a kind creation. Sometimes sketching is another tool
to reach different ideas for a unique presentation of the stone."
Buyers
and collectors range throughout the United States and countries
including Canada, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland,
Spain, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, to as far away as China, Japan,
Zimbabwe and Australia.
